We are one of nine English regions. The geographical boundaries of these regions are standard and are commonly used by government departments and other organisations for the analysis of statistical and economic information and to organise their work. It is possible to compare performance between regions in England and elsewhere in Europe and beyond.
We provide:
- facts about South East England
- a range of data about each of 74 localities in the South East – ranging from Thanet in Kent across to the New Forest in Hampshire and Milton Keynes in the North West of our region
- maps summarising information about the region – about crime, deprivation and about political make-up, for example
- information about regional organisations and what they do and about the main strategies which describe how the region will develop in the future
