This group meets quarterly and membership includes representation from
GOSE, South East Regional Offender Managers, Kent and Medway, Thames
Valley, Hampshire and Surrey, with representation from Sussex soon to join
the group.
The aims of the steering group are:
- To assist IOM schemes achieve alignment with the core principles of the
National Offender Management Model
- To promote and support the development of IOM projects across the South
East region
- To provide a regional network for key agencies including the Police,
Probation, Prison Service, Government Office for the South East, Health,
Regional Learning Skills Council, Local Criminal Justice Boards (LCJBs),
Youth Justice, National Association for the Care and Resettlement of
Offenders (NACRO), to meet and share developments
- To contribute to and receive reports from the evaluation and review of
IOM projects
- To promote partnership working and joint ownership across agencies and
organisations in the statutory, private and voluntary and community sectors
in line with the guidance in the IOM route map
- To support the strategic objectives of the South East Regional Reducing
Re-offending Delivery Board (RRDB) and provide progress reports to the RRDB
on IOM
- Communicate national and regional developments and achievements to a
wide range of stakeholders in the region.
